A strong earthquake measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale hit northern part of Pakistan on 8th October 2005. This calamity left in its wake, thousands of men, women and children dead, and hundred of thousands injured. Strong after shocks are being experienced till a week after the Initial shock was felt.

A vast population scattered over large mountainous tract of N.W.F.P. and Azad Kashmir has been rendered homeless. The people are forced to spend cold nights in the high altitude of north under open skies, without food or shelter.

The situation is chaotic. Water contamination and decomposed bodies in the rubble may lead to epidemic. Families have been shattered with children losing parents, wives losing husbands and old left alone without their guardians. The infrastructure has been totally devastated which will need years to rebuild.

Our efforts without your generous support may not match the level of disaster. We appeal in the name of humanity to all inhabitants of planet earth, to come forward and donate generously towards our “Hussani Relief ” that has been established.
